Eldreth Pottery proudly presents our Ninth Limited Edition “2010 Redware Christmas Plate”.  Each piece is hand-crafted and hand-painted in Lancaster County using traditional Pennsylvania German production methods. 

The redware is fired to a temperature just under 2000° Fahrenheit, which allows for a wider range of color and decorating styles.  Unlike salt-glazed pottery, redware is glazed prior to placement into the kiln.  The work is then fired high enough to melt the applied glazed to the clay.  This technique and decorating style combine to create a truly unique work of art.

Our redware plate measures 8 inches in diameter and is completely food safe and lead-free.  It may also be used in the oven, microwave and dishwasher.
